Other Art Styles

It is out of question that modern World Literature is tightly connected with other art styles, including music, sculpture, painting and so on. In this chapter, we'll try to generate all the knowledge within a limited space exposing all the most detailed points.
The literature always developed within society and for society. It was created by, for and among people. So, the association with other art directions is obvious.
We may analyze the connection of literature with music and theatre, for example. It happens so very often that a writer creating a certain plot or a story never thinks that his/her creation may become a ground for future opera, operetta, whatever.
What about a famous novel "Carmen" by Merime and a grand opera "Carmen" by Bizet? Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" provides all the creators with great material for both musical and theatre plays.
Such famous writers as Byron, Goethe, Bomarche, Hoffmann, Heine, Cervantes, etc founded plots for developing them into later musical and theatre stagings.
It's interesting to find out that the greatest part of literary pieces applied by current musicians and playwrights was written during later epochs of literary process, including Renaissance, Barocco, Romanticism and Realism.
On the other hand, a great deal of playwrights and composers adore putting up ancient themes, including "Iliad", "Odyssey", "King Edyp" and so forth.
The choice of this or that opus isn't defined through cultural epoch but its originality and actuality.
